Microsoft Surface is the flagship line of tablet computers designed and marketed by Microsoft. The Surface will be available in two versions, one that runs Windows RT on an ARM processor with USB 2.0 ports, and one that runs Windows 8 Professional edition with USB 3.0 ports. The latter will have the ability to join a Windows domain & work with group policies so is most likely to be deployed in an Enterprise setting.

However, what could swing the game in Microsoft’s favour is the inclusion of their Office Suite which, like the BBM on RIM BlackBerry phones, keeps users locked to their operating system.
The inclusion of a powerful processor and the thoughtful inclusion of a keypad to make it work like a laptop, could result in more takers for this product. One thing is sure, Microsoft will carve out a niche for itself with this product!
